This 1960s home got a great makeover when we added silicon render and external wall insulation

It’s not unusual that homes built in the 1960s and 1970s have areas with solid walls that are uninsulated. This house had white PVC cladding that was removed and replaced with high-density EPS insulation boards. We then rendered the new extension (on the left) and used the same product on the insulation boards as it was compatible.
